Mapbender is supported by a broad community, and is one that is made up of a wide range of teams and individuals.
These include developers, the steering committee known as the PSC (Project Steering Committee) with the project chair, the testing and documentation team, lecturers, the marketing team and of course administrators and users. Acting together, they are all striving to take Mapbender to the next level.
The community exchanges information using a range of different channels. Correspondence takes place through mailing lists, and bugs are reported using tickets as well as pull requests and code reviews. Furthermore, meetings between the PSC and the development team as well as user meetings take place on a regular basis.
Mapbender is an official OSGeo project (Open Source Geospatial Foundation).
